More about Oxford House - Bridge City

A non-profit organization, residents are only expected to contribute to their fair share of the running of the house expenses, and since there are generally between 8-15 people per home, these monthly payments are low enough to be affordable to anyone who can work while in recovery. Residents must only abide by the rules of the home, but if they ever use drugs or alcohol while a resident, they are immediately evicted. Residents may stay as long as they need to, although most stay about 1 year.

Admissions Process

Oxford House is self-run, peer-supported recovery housing for men. There is no clinical staff on site and no walk-in admission — applicants are accepted by a vote of the current residents after an interview. Interviews are held Sun 7:30pm. Call the house on (971) 271-8246 to ask about openings and arrange an interview. The chapter contact for this house is Kenny — (503) 260-3727. Please phone before visiting. Current vacancies are published by Oxford House at oxfordvacancies.com.

Oxford Housing in our Communities is a Great thing. If it wasn't for an Oxford House for me to have a safe place to live & make New Clean & Sober Friends, I would not Have 24 years Clean & Sober now. …

Oxford itself is an incredible place to live. This house specifically needs some work. Wouldn't recommend it if you have younger children.
