Located in the peaceful, serene setting of the Sonoran desert, our private, gender-separate drug and alcohol rehab center has provided a safe, healing place to recover from drugs and alcohol to thousands of people. Restorative community spaces, three separate residences for men and women, crystal clear pools and welcoming grounds are a backdrop for the comprehensive addiction treatment that sets Promises Scottsdale apart.

We believe that by providing the comforts of home, such as luxurious beds, spacious and well-appointed bathrooms, private gourmet chefs, relaxing lounge rooms and private counseling rooms, our clients will place their focus on their treatment and sobriety rather than on their living arrangements.

Gender-Separate Residences

We offer separate residences and programs for men and women, giving clients the opportunity to share freely, be vulnerable and heal without distractions. Men have the option of residing at our main men's house or at our more private, resort-like executive men's house. Women also have their own private housing with all the comforts of home.

Promises Scottsdale is a residential, gender-separate drug treatment program located in the picturesque desert of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Our programs vary from 28 to 90 days, depending on each client's particular needs, and draw from the following core elements:

Individual Therapy

One of the factors that differentiates Promises Scottsdale from other drug treatment programs is the level of individualized attention and one-on-one therapy our clients receive. Individual therapy gives clients the opportunity to explore issues they may not feel comfortable discussing in group, identify self-defeating patterns of thinking and behavior, and develop healthier ways to cope.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Many people who struggle with addiction use drugs or alcohol to cope with symptoms of an underlying mental health disorder. At Promises Scottsdale, our approach is grounded in scientific evidence, which shows that drug rehab treatment is most effective when it addresses both substance abuse and any co-occurring mental health disorders at the same time.

Our clinicians are licensed and trained to treat dual diagnosis and have diverse backgrounds and skill sets in areas such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Gender-Separate Programs and Residences

To ensure clients are able to put their full attention into treatment without unnecessary distractions and feel safe to express themselves wholly, our programs and residences are completely gender-separate. Men have the option of residing in our main men's house or the executive men's house, while women enjoy welcoming residences nearby.

Holistic Therapies

We are best known for our naturopathic approach to healing, which allows for a truly holistic recovery. Promises Scottsdale is led by a full-time, onsite naturopathic physician who utilizes a full range of conventional and non-conventional addiction treatment approaches. In addition to regular individual therapy sessions and process groups, our clients participate in a variety of complementary therapies and activities such as equine therapy, mindfulness, art therapy, fitness, yoga, nature walks and massage therapy.

After arriving, you will have an individual interview and assessment with one of our licensed professional therapists. Through this interview, we will be able to determine your specific needs and the best methods of treatment. We understand that no two clients are the same. At this time, any other questions or concerns you have may be addressed and answered. Family and friends who will be your support system in the recovery process are welcome to be present. Our goal is to make this process as simple as possible.
